In early 2023, Hugo and Vince noticed that small businesses in their city heavily relied on their online reputation. 

At the time, businesses attempted to get discovered by new customers by asking their current clients to leave them reviews. They typically did this through sign boards, or by asking them after a sale. Sometimes they were successful, but 90% of the time customers had the intention of doing it but would forget or get distracted.

Hugo and Vince both understood that with NFC (near field communication) technology they could streamline this entire process to just a few seconds and avoid the problems of forgetfulness and information overload altogether. By having a small plate at the point of sale, the customer could simply tap their phone on it or scan the QR code and it would take straight to the review page (in 3 seconds or less) so they could leave a review on the spot. 

When they tried it out with a few local businesses, they found that customers were over 6x more likely to leave a review because this required such little time and energy from the customer compared to the traditional way. As a result, the businesses ranked higher on Google, became more visible online, and saw more customers.. The feedback Hugo and Vince got from business owners was that this was, by far, the most seamless way for a business to get a lot of 5-star reviews quickly. They wish they started collecting reviews like this sooner!
